Peace Corps Volunteers (Volunteers) Worldwide face different challenges as they work in the areas of education,
environment, agriculture, health, business, and information technology. Those
in Cameroon face even greater challenges given the bicultural nature of
Cameroon, the multiplicity of local languages (236) and tribes (125) making it
a fertile ground for political diversity, as there are near 200 political
parties.

They try to integrate fully in each community in:It is good for the
volunteer to know the behaviors of the people, their likes and dislikes and
the areas to avoid. There are variations on restrictions of behaviors like:
handshakes, greeting postures, places to keep away from, farming days, things
to eat, dresses to wear, predominant religious believes, etc. When the volunteer

political inclinations. A female could not ask certain questions, eat certain
dishes, dress in a particular way, etc. because of such sets of believes. The
atmosphere is friendlier now.
